Forty Hall and Enfield Museum Service are proud to present a weekend of exciting family activities that will bring history to life, in and around the Jacobean house and grounds of Forty Hall.

On Saturday 18th July delve in to Tudor life and explore how they lived and worked – commemorative of the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne.

Highlights include: a Tudor Jolly Boat on the lake, a performance of The Pardoners Tale and traditional Tudor cooking.

On Sunday 19th July come and see an excavation by Enfield Archaeological Society on the site of Elsyng Palace, a Tudor Palace in the grounds of Forty Hall – in celebration of The Festival of British Archaeology 2009.

No booking necessary. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. FREE ENTRY.

Junction 25 off the M25. Follow the heritage signs from the junction of Bullsmoor Lane or Carterhatch Lane on the A10.

From North – Turkey Street and 20 minute walk. From Central London – Enfield Town, Enfield Chase or Southbury and 191 bus.

Buses

191 or W10 to roundabout at Myddelton Avenue and then 10 minute walk up Forty Hill.

Parking

Free on site parking. Disabled bays located beyond lake.

Access

The ground floor of Forty Hall is accessible to people with mobility difficulties.
